a cathedral in the pines

Ruby Beach, 2012
Ruby Beach is one of the first public beach access points on the Pacific Ocean south of Forks, Wash. It was early and we were excited to see the ocean that day. I remember sitting there watching Clover dipping in and out of the drift logs, making rock sculptures as the light created a cathedral in the pines. It’s in moments like this where I think the spirituality of nature can’t be denied.
