morningwalk redux

roads white with salt
sky woolen grey
icy light slicks
traverse the bay
::
cardinal in flight
winter’s bright bunting
::
trees take a stand
slicing the light
sunshine spilling
into the street
::
listless light skims
a lake dark as slate
