morningwalk redux

trunks wrapped
limbs graced
snow naps
in trees’ embrace
::
lichen clings
like fine-cut velvet
to wet trees
the colour of spring
::
sky a pinwheel
flashing blue
through a whirl
of white and grey
::
wind brushes
winter’s backbeat
snow crunches
under feet
::
scrim, mesh, swiss dot
snow pricks
pointillist as seurat
