Fireball by Marc Adamus
‘I have never before or since seen quite such a sky as
this new-year’s evening in
the remote southeast Oregon desert. The red crept into
the scene, illuminating
the underside of this highly textured lenticular cloud.
The desert is a dried playa
… The streaks come from muddy water blowing across the plain. The cracks were formed later and dried slightly from the light of the after-
noon. I was only able to get
off a few shots in the minute or less the light appeared.’
